Focus Groups

As an AREIA member you have five Focus Groups to choose from to help you network, problem solve, and swap great ideas with other successful investors who share your area of interest.

You access and participate in these volunteer, member-run groups through this Website.

Focus Group #1
Purchase Option Investing

This group specializes on creative investing using techniques like lease options, land contracts, wrap around mortgages, owner financing, lease purchase, and much more. The emphasis is on buying with little or no money down, usually directly from the owner.

Focus Group #2
Fixers and Foreclosures

This group specializes on how to find, fund, fix and re-sell distressed property. The group discusses things like: N.O.D.'s, sheriff sales, auctions, short sales, REO's, hard money lenders, rehab tips and traps, and much more. The emphasis is on getting incredible buys (usually with all cash) from highly distressed sellers or banks, doing a fast and effective rehab on the property, and then retailing the property for a healthy profit.

Focus Group #3
Wholesaling and Flipping

This group specializes on quick-turn real estate for fast cash. It's emphasis is on things like: creating a buyers list, assigning your contracts, finding good wholesale deals, and much more.

Focus Group #4
Apartment Buildings, Landlording, and Commercial Properties

This group specializes on small to medium size apartment buildings and commercial properties, everything from triplexes to 50 unit apartment buildings to small strip malls to office complexes. This group addresses landlording issues ranging from tenant leases, on site management, collection systems, and much more.

Focus Group #5
Quick Start Group

This group is for people just getting started with their investing and who need some guidance and direction when they're starting off. Also, this group is a great place for getting encouragement and support from other beginning investors who are going through the same learning curve.
